Relay for Life

Once again, I am so proud of our girls! They showed what truly good and giving people they are by volunteering at Relay for Life. Whether they were registering cancer survivors, serving them cake and drinks, raising thousands of dollars, or simply greeting them as they got to the fair grounds, each of our girls that participated made an impact on the cancer survivors in Gwinnett County! Our girls were even awarded The Spirit Of Giving Award from the American Cancer Society because of their impact in volunteering. I must say that we were definitely the BEST DRESSED group there and definitely stood out among the rest! This is the second event that we have participated in that has truly made a great effect on our community - and the season hasn't even started yet! I hope that you all continue your good works as the year goes on!

Second Annual Carolyn Kelly Memorial 5k

On Saturday, May 2, the Grayson Cheerleading program hosted the Second Annual Carolyn Kelly 5K at Tribble Mill Park. They were helped by both the basketball and football booster clubs. The race proceeds went to benefit Collin Lancaster, a five year old boy who was injured in a car-accident earlier this year. Collin's and his family have long been apart of the Grayson Community. The overall male race winner was Mickey Conn and the overall female race winner was Kinsey Snell. The 5K raised $7163 for Collin! Thanks to all of our sponsors, community members, high school athletes, and parents that took part in this wonderful event!!!

Guiding Principles of Grayson Cheerleading

  • Integrity - Doing the right thing just because it is the right thing to do.
Team Work - Less of me and more of WE!
Leadership - Leadership is influence, not authority.
Effort - The refusal to quit!
Friendship - People who know the real you, but love you anyway!
